When we decided to move to France we thought over our expectations and concluded that we wanted to live with and among the French. Furthermore we wanted a large house where we could receive guests.
That's why we intentionally searched for a house at the edge of a village, preferably with a big garden.
The village had to be 'alive' with several basic facilities like a bakery, a grocery, at least one pub, a post office, a bank and a doctor. We didn't want to use the car for everything.
Buying a house in Reillanne in the end was of course related to the fact that for several years we already had a holiday house at walking distance from Reillanne ('Le Cabanon'). Our house is situated about 150 meters from the village square and has a great view of the Luberon and the ancient church of St. Denis. It is a characteristic old Notary with it's original Provençal character.
In addition to my own appartment the building offers three luxuriousguestrooms and two gîtes for renting purposes.
I have my own vision on the concept of renting.
My most important starting point is that I want to offer quality for an affordable price.
I assume that I can come to an understanding with my guests on the basis of good faith. For this reason I do not ask for a deposit. (Everyone has a small accident from time to time and therefore the replacement of a broken glass simply is covered by the rent.)
I do not offer 'on line' reservation because I like to have personal contact with my future guests and because I want to protect you against disappointments.
After conferring with me pets (maximum of two) are very welcome and free of charge.
The basis for a well spent holiday is good information. That is why I have a computer with a DSL internet connection free at your disposal in our house. So even during your holidays in the south of France you will be able to keep in contact with your friends and relatives via email.
Because of the tobacco law of 2008 you are not allowed to smoke inside the building.
I am honored that Vacances en Luberon is mentioned in the Geoguide Provence. This is a stimulation to continue on the road that was chosen.
